Do you fear Christmas weight gain?

Do you fear the xmas period?
Worried you will reverse all your progress?

Or…

Worried you will put yourself at a worse starting point in January?

Let me ask you one question!
Do you value making memories?

If the answer is yes, remember that and don’t panic.

Memories are there to last a lifetime. Christmas is probably the one time of the year we make the most special memories with our friends and family! And to me that is so so important.

So what can you do to help you over the festive period?

If you want to, and can fit some xmas workouts in, then great! If not just try to stay as active as possible, either go on some nice walks with family and friends or spend the day chasing after your younger family members making sure they’re not destroying your house haha!
Remember, just because it’s Christmas doesn’t mean you HAVE to over indulge. You do not need to go in with the ‘f*** it, it’s christmas’ mentality. Remember you can still enjoy everything you want over the festive period in moderation.
You might be drinking more alcohol than normal, but remember to rehydrate and stay hydrated! Water intake is just as important at this time of year.
REST! Most of us do get some time off over Christmas, so use this time to have that longer sleep and take a few more rest days from the gym than you normally would.

And just remember, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. You can still enjoy all the things you want to, make some amazing memories with loved ones and not reverse all your progress you’ve made this year.

One week off, simply cannot reverse the 51 other weeks of progress!

I hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas and new years! See you in 2023!!
