Do you still have your New Year motivation?

Have you been struggling a little bit more as the month goes on?

Feel like you started the new year full of lots of goals and motivation but as what feels like the longest month in the year. January is going slow and you feel like you’re losing that motivation?

That’s normal!

Motivation comes and goes! It will always be higher at the prospect of a new year and new goals!

Throughout your journey, your motivation will be high on some days and lower on others. It’s all just part of the process of recognising you can’t always rely on motivation!

Remember you started the new year with all of these goals for a reason! And you shouldn’t let some lack of motivation stop you from achieving them!

Here are some top tips to prevent lack of motivation hindering your progress:

  • Get your workout done first thing in the morning, before work if needed!
  • Train with a friend, your motivation might be low that day but theirs might be high! Helping you to push through
  • Create a playlist of all your favourite and motivating music, pop your headphones in and just get it done.
  • Put it in your diary! If you’re anything like me, if something is in my diary it has to happen.
  • Create a mood board of your goals and dreams and set it as your home screen. Every time you look at your phone you’ll be reminded why you’re doing what you are doing!
  • Get yourself a coach/pt, accountability always helps!
