Do you suffer from no workout guilt?

Do you ever feel guilty for not working out?

This can be a normal feeling.

In this society we always put so much pressure on ourselves. Wanting to reach a goal will always be really important. To do this we know we have to put the work in.

But sometimes we have to take a step back from the gym and our training. For many reasons. From injury, to being tired, having a holiday planned or a weekend trip with the girls.

It is inevitable that there are times within our journeys, several times – we will need to take time off from training.

Knowing this fact won’t always make it easier and we won’t always be able to avoid the guilt…

But…

Here are some of the things I tell myself if I’m feeling guilty:
I’m making it a bigger problem than it needs to be.
The gym is always going to be there, if I need to take a day, week or even month away from it. That’s ok.
Taking the time to rest and recover will allow my body to feel and respond even better when I get back to training.
You’ve probably said a million times you’d love some time off, so enjoy it.
