It’s ok to take time off..

IT’S OK TO TAKE TIME OFF!

Sometimes we mentally and physically need a break.

And that is totally ok!

I took a whole month of training because of my amazing holiday to Australia and Bali! I took the week before off my holiday because I had so much to do to prepare to take such a long break away from work that training was just at the bottom of my priority list, and if I’m quite honest, I had lost my mojo for training pole as well. Then I was away for 3 weeks and I’m all for training whilst on holiday, IF YOU WANT TO! But I was at the opposite side of the world and had so many amazing things I wanted to cram into the 3 weeks that again, training wasn’t a priority for me.

I’m not saying if you need to take a break, to take a month off.

But I am saying that it is ok to take time away from training for whatever reason.

Whether that be a holiday or simply needing a break from it.

Am I as strong as I was before I took the time off? NO!

Am I as fit as I was before I took the time off? NO!

Have I made the most amazing, incredible once in a lifetime memories with my best friend? YES!

Do I regret any of it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

Aesthetics are great. Goals are great. But what I will remember when I am old and grey and stuck in bed is the memories that I’ve made in life. Not the training sessions I did or the abs I was trying to chase, so I’m totally ok with taking time off!
